Our Roots

We adopted a scruffy little terrier in 2005 and named him Lucky. Lucky changed our lives and in honor/memory of him we started "Lucky Day Animal Rescue". We started as a special needs and senior dog/cat rescue.  in 2016 we purchased our 96 acre farm and began our farm sanctuary after a little 13 pound pig fell off a transport truck.
That pig, Sonny is now 7 years old and 650 pounds. We then grew passionate about advocating for animals intended for food. We hope by sharing their stories and their amazing personalities we can   help people make the connection.
